Selected candidates will receive compensation under Pay Band-2:
- Pay Scale: ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 per month .

1. Nationality and Domicile:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.
- A valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes must be submitted as proof of domicile.
2. Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed the full-time Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC / Class 12) examination in the Science stream from a recognized Board, Council, or University.
- Biology is mandatory as one of the subjects.

Mandatory 1-Year Training Course
Shortlisted candidates must undergo and clear a 1-year training course in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science at the School of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Ghungoor, Silchar (or its extended campuses) before receiving a regular appointment.
- Passing Rules: A candidate receives a maximum of three chances to pass the training exams. Failing all three attempts renders the candidate ineligible for appointment.
- Service Bond: Candidates must execute a government bond pledging to serve as a VFA or allied cadre in Assam for a minimum of 3 years post-training. Failing to serve requires refunding the training costs and stipends received.
