Mukhyamantri Nijut Babu Aasoni 2026 : The Government of Assam has introduced a new higher education support scheme named Mukhyamantri Nijut Babu Aasoni (MMNBA) for the academic year 2025–26. Eligibility Criteria

Not Eligible:

  • Married UG male students
  • UG students receiving Banikantha Kakati Merit Award (Scooter Scheme)
  • PG students availing CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme

Financial Assistance Amount

The financial incentive provided under the scheme is as follows:

For Undergraduate (UG 1st Year) Students

  • ₹1,000 per month
  • Maximum of 10 months per academic year
  • Total assistance: ₹10,000 per year

For Postgraduate (PG 1st Year) Students

  • ₹2,000 per month
  • Maximum of 10 months per academic year
  • Total assistance: ₹20,000 per year

No payment will be made during summer vacation or holidays exceeding one month.

Application Start Date

The application process for Mukhyamantri Nijut Babu Aasoni Scheme will begin from 1st February 2026. Eligible students are required to apply through their respective colleges or universities within the prescribed timeline.

Mode of Application

The application and verification process is institution-based:
